Mission Statement:   The Yamhill County clerk's office is dedicated to providing quality customer service, in a professional and efficient manner.

The county clerk is an elected official elected to a nonpartisan office as provided in the Oregon Constitution and serves a term of four years.  The county clerk is also the chief election official of the County.

The county clerk's office does not provide any court services. For court-related services please contact the Trial Court Clerk at 503-434-7530. 

Duties of the office include:

  • Official recordkeeper for Yamhill County
  • Administers the recording of all real property transactions
  • Clerk of the Board of Commissioners
  • Coordinates and records Board of Property Tax Appeal hearings
  • Maintains and records Military Discharge DD-214 records
  • Issues Marriage, Domestic Partnership, and Business Licenses
  • Performs civil marriage ceremonies
  • United States Passport Acceptance Facility
