Welcome to Yamhill County Economic Development Department!

The Yamhill County Economic Development Department is a resource for businesses in Yamhill County. We provide a variety of services and resources that support economic growth within the County.

The Economic Development Department manages the County's Strategic Investment Grants: Large, Small and Start-up. (More information on grants will be coming soon.)

A Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) is available to businesses through an application process. For more information, contact Economic Development Manager, Gioia Goodrum.

Business Assistance

Seeking business assistance? Here are some resources:

  • Business Oregon - The State's economic development agency, it offers grants, loans, site selection, tax incentives (through Strategic Investment Program, Enterprise Zones [there are two in Yamhill County - Newberg and Willamina], and Oregon Investment Advantage) and a variety of other resources for businesses in Oregon.
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) - The SBA is an independent agency of the Federal government established in 1953. They assist existing businesses with funding programs (loans and grants), counseling, federal contracting certifications and disaster recovery. They also connect business to partner organizations, lenders and other community groups to help businesses. The local SBA office is in Portland.
  • Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - The SBDC offers assistance and counseling for starting, running and growing a business. The nearest SBDC is located at Chemeketa Community College in Salem.
  • Willamette Workforce Partnership (WWP) - WWP provides services to businesses such as youth wage grants, worker resources and training, labor market information. They identify local labor market needs, trends and priorities and works with the community to address them. The WWP office is in Salem.
  • WorkSource Oregon - WorkSource Oregon is a business' one-stop resource with free services such as job postings, job fairs, identify possible tax credits, federal bonding and customized workforce data analysis. The WorkSource Oregon office for Yamhill County is in McMinnville.
