Ammunition/Explosives: Contact your local police department.
Appliances with freon/coolant: recycle at Recology Recovery Zone, WM Transfer Station or Krohn's Appliance. Fees may apply.
Asbestos: refer to DEQ for more information www.oregon.gov/deq/hazards-and-cleanup/pages/asbestos-information.aspx.
Car Batteries: recycle for free year-round at O'Reilly's, Autozone, WM Transfer Station, Recology Recovery Zone.
Cooking Oil: contact Recology Recovery Zone for recycling.
Electric Vehicle (EV) batteries
Medications: disposal stations are available at most police departments or other locations listed at medtakebackoregon.org.
Propane Tank, including small camping cylinders: For disposal contact: McMinnville Gas (503) 472-7220, Recology (503) 472-3176 or Waste Management-Newberg (800) 808-5901.
Radioactive Material
Railroad Ties: contact Recology Recovery Zone, WM Transfer Station or Coffin Butte Landfill for disposal fees.
Sharps/Syringes/Needles: contact Recology or WM Transfer Station for disposal procedures and fees.
Smoke Detectors/Alarms: contact the manufacturer of the alarm for a recycling program or garbage service provider for instructions.
Tires: recycle at Recology Recovery Zone, WM Transfer Station, most tire stores for a fee.
Used Motor Oil: recycle for free year-round at O'Reilly's, Autozone, WM Transfer Station, Recology Recovery Zone.
