Family and Youth partners with local school districts to provide mental health services for all students in each district that we serve, regardless of insurance status. In addition, we also offer limited drug/alcohol prevention and treatment when requested by youth, parent, or schools. Some schools also offer medical care, behavioral health services, and preventive health services through School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) in Willamina and McMinnville.
Services offered by Family and Youth include:
Dedicated therapist based at each school we are contracted with.
Consultations with school staff for any student
Therapist participation in IEP/504 meetings
Support for Trauma-Informed Schools Initiative
Integrated care coordination between school staff, primary care providers, county- and community-based service providers, and therapists
Pre-K to Kindergarten transition support
Skills training on and/or off campus
School-based parent education and support
Social and behavioral skill-building groups
Staff training on mental health topics and in-class intervention
Preventive mental health and social education for classrooms
Participate in Problem Solving Team meetings
Facilitate referrals for medication evaluations.
Family support and outreach, when appropriate
For all school districts, Family and Youth provides:
Contracts with Lines for Life to provide Suicide Prevention education in each district
Crisis Debriefs for students and staff
Partners with the districts and Willamette Education Service District (WESD) to provide threat assessments for identified youth
