Yamhill County Adult Behavioral Health provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for people who are diagnosed with an Opiate substance use disorder and/or alcohol use disorder. Currently we prescribe three types of medication. We offer oral medications like Naltrexone and Buprenorphine, as well as the longer-acting injectable forms, VIVITROL and Sublocade.
These medications tend to greatly reduce the cravings, or withdrawal symptoms, that can be associated with use, depending on the medication, for Alcohol or Opiate drugs allowing a person to focus on becoming well and moving forward in their life’s path. When you meet with one of our Medical Professionals, you will have an opportunity to determine which medicine is right for you.
As of the fall of 2018, Yamhill County Chemical Dependency program has a MAT model of care that provides same day screenings, support staff that can walk individuals through the intake process, and Medication Prescribers available. The Medication Prescribers are “x” waivered licensed medical providers. For more information please call the Adult Behavioral Health Main Clinic office and express interest in starting services with Chemical Dependency, being screened for MAT services, or ask for the Chemical Dependency supervisor or manager.
